Samaritans Giving Tree

This year we have the privilege of registering our Parish Christmas Tree as a ‘Host Samaritans Giving Tree’.

What is a Samaritans Giving Tree?

Samaritans Giving Trees help to provide gifts and food for families who might otherwise wake up to a Christmas morning without any gifts under the tree or are unable to share the Christmas spirit.

Last year, Samaritans Giving Trees provided more than 2,500 gifts for local families.

This extraordinary achievement is thanks to the generosity of organisations, schools, parishes, and individuals who continue to support our Christmas Appeal.’

In 2025, Samaritans supporters have the opportunity to ‘host’ a physical tree or to donate a virtual gift via the Samaritan online giving platform at:

https://pages.samaritans.org.au/christmas-givingtrees-0

Gift ideas: see the Samaritans site above for a list of suggested gift ideas.

Who do gifts go to? The programs that these gifts support are for: young people in Transitional Houses, various Homeless (including Youth) Assistance Programs, Student Youth Accommodation, CAPS Supported Playgroups and Supported Independent Living(SILS).

We will be collecting items up until Sunday 14th December. Please bring them along to church between 10.30am - 11.30am or call Rev Toni Wein to make other arrangements on PH: 0479 175142
